Well, what can I say? This June was a busy and productive month. I’ll break it all down for you as we go along.
Changes That Happened
In June, I continued my Cereal Fiction page. I tabled my weekly serial, Diary of a Hit Woman. I did this to make room for me to write her story as a novel. Have faith. She’ll be back.
I started my serial Bound, An Aurora Willow Nightingale Fantasy Novel. Carrie, from Niceville, is nearing the finish line.
I continued to work hard on my substack call The Daily Drabble.
The Daily Drabble is sent daily with a fun one word prompt for you to post your Daily Drabble. Drabble- a short story of exactly 100 words, INCLUDING the title.
I also started up a poetry substack called The Poetry Post.
Over there, I post a few pieces of poetry a week. You see, my original writing training is actually in poetry. I have a BA and MFA in poetry writing from Oklahoma State University. It’s nice to get back to my roots and share my work again.
Upcoming Changes
My new website will be live, with luck, tomorrow. You will be able to buy all of my works directly from there. If you want to buy from Amazon, you can do that too. I just got tired of leaving all my eggs in one basket. The website is link https://payhip.com/JennaBNeeceAuthorsStore.
Personal Changes
June was a hard month for me. I was continuing to recover from my foot surgery. I live in Oklahoma, so it’s basically hell this time of year. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk directly into a fire? Come here and find out!
I also had a long awaited appointment regarding some serious issues of female health. For safety reasons, I’m going to start injections that will send me into menopause while I await my hysterectomy consult. Then, I undergo a high risk endometriosis surgery/hysterectomy.
I’ve known for quite awhile that I couldn’t have children. Hearing it so definitely, moving forward with a plan that ends even a small ray of hope, well that’s been hard.
But onward and upwards!
I’m pretty sure I forgot to tell you all something, but (Americans) have a Happy 4th of July. Be safe. Be kind to veterans who struggle with fireworks.
And pets. Remember your pets are scared. :)
All my best,
Jenna B. Neece
Best wishes for your health and healing. May your writing continue to be a source of support and enjoyment for you and those you touch through it. 🤗🫶🏼✨
Diary of a Hit Woman will be a great novel! No doubt!
