Hello!
I wanted to give an update on some writing related things. I’ve been very quiet lately. I’m dealing with a tremendous amount of health problems, and I’ve struggled to write the amount of work I did before I crashed and burned. On the upside, a close friend gave me some valuable advice. He said I just need to write a little consistently. Then, I’ll have a lot.
I have three series I’m considering piloting as serialized fiction. I’d use my Substack. They would be available for free, and keep me writing at least a couple thousand words a week. My Substack is available to sub to for free, or if you have the funds to spare, you can subscribe for a fee that helps me out.
What do I want from you? I’d love your support and opinion. You can sub to my Substack at
I want to know what series you want to read the most. I may end up with more than one going. Hard to tell, but I’d love your opinion on where to start. Please read the tentative blurbs below. Then, cast your vote!
Series 1:
Epic fantasy/ romantasy
The Fae Shifters Series
Blurb for book 1:
Yara isn’t your average human girl from Pilta. She’s a foul-mouthed thief trying to survive poverty. After 20 long years in the human lands under the tyranny of her father and his friends, one night, she’s thieving like any other at the local tavern. After returning home, her life is changed forever. Swept away to the fae lands of Lavenia, she has bigger battles to face than her father. Handsome men falling at her feet? Evil fae trying to kill her? Magic mayhem is afoot, and Yara is stuck right in the middle of it. The problem is that she doesn’t know who is friend or foe. Where does she turn when everything she was ever told turns out to be a lie?
Series 2:
Urban fantasy/ romantasy / paranormal mystery
A Niceville Paranormal Mystery Series
Blurb for book 1:
Carrie Cooper is a Jill of all trades with her little cafe, knack for finding trouble, and background as a private investigator. She even has a little secret that’s not exactly a secret anymore. She’s a witch. All seems to be quiet in her quaint little town of Niceville until one Autumn morning when she finds her friend and local coffee shop owner dead before daylight! Can Carrie help nail down the suspect without making herself a target in the eyes of the killer?
Series 3:
Romantasy/ Fantasy/ Fairy Tale Retelling
A Contemporary Fairy Tale Novel Series
Blurb for series:
All fairytales are bound to end up in the town Gwen lives in because of a curse upon the town. Everywhere she turns, more people are acting crazy, and she’s beginning to think she never should have moved to Enchanted, New York. Apparently, she’s the new keeper of the fairytales, and that makes it her job to break the curse before all hope is lost. The problem is, most of these people have no idea who they really are, and she has to convince them of the truth if she’s ever going to right all the wrongs that are plaguing the town. Will she get a happily ever after or will it be happily never after?
Caramel macchiato murder! That one sounds very original and fun 😊
I would like any of these stories but my pick would be #2. They all sound very good so I would read any of them!
