I loved this book! Russ and Aurora are great characters. Their rough beginning that leads to a happily ever after is exactly what I needed to read following a more intense book. And let’s face it, Russ deserved his own book after Icebreaker tortured him.
Basic plot: boy and girl hook up. They think they will never see each other again. The next day they end up at the same summer camp for work. Stuck together, they have to admit their feelings and sneak around due to the no fraternization rule. They obviously fall in love, but they also help each other grow as they navigate tough family life situations.
Compared to Icebreaker, there was less at stake here. I never felt like their happily ever after was really at stake. Even in one jarring fight at the end, it wasn’t drawn out. You could tell it would be fine.
Icebreaker was more intense, but Wildfire was what I needed to read now. If that’s the type of book you need, cozy HEA book to distract you from life, then this book will be perfect.
